El St. John
Founder & CEO
El St. John established SilverTech, Inc. in February 1997, it was incorporated in February 1999 and officially launched globally in February 2000. St. John worked for two years to develop the company's state-of-the-art technology, a Private Internet Engine (PIE), which she plans to build and license to various communities around the world, including government agencies and private industries as well as individuals. As CEO, her first endeavor using PIE technology was the creation of eKids Internet, the world's first private Internet network for kids that features its own browser and search engine. Created especially for children, eKids Internet is an integrated, real-time entertaining and educational community atmosphere that nurtures kids' creativity and imaginations in a safe, fun environment while building a cross-cultural community among its global users.
Prior to creating SilverTech and eKids Internet, St. John founded, and still owns, Golden Road Presents, Inc., a television production company that has been awarded with numerous honors since its inception. She was executive producer and director of many of its award winning programs, including various documentaries, kids' series, and health-oriented programming. With 30 years experience in telecommunications, St. John was a valuable commodity to the television industry. She worked in cooperation with all of the major U.S. markets, plus cable operators such as CNN and TCI, computer technology companies such as IBM, Netscape, Apple and 3COM, as well as government organizations such as NASA, to develop television broadcast programming. With her extensive knowledge of consumer markets, she was able to forge new directions and create innovative formats.
In addition to her telecommunications and consumer marketing background, St. John has extensive integrated marketing expertise. She spent nine years in the advertising industry, working for J. Walter Thompson Advertising Agency where she was responsible for all television budgeting and marketing. She was also vice president of the television production department for Doyle, Dane & Bernback Advertising in New York.
As further evidence of her versatility, St. John also established two engineering corporations, Global Telelink Inc. and Global Communications, Inc.
