The situation is sort of complex...I will reveal more when I have the time...first I have a technical question: If someone claims to have established several incorporated companies, is there a website that I could consult to check the validity of those claims? Like some sort of registry? I don't have time to get into it more right now...but this thread can get epic and you guys can do a good, Zain-esque deed. Trust me. |

You can call the Secretary of State's office for whatever state the business is in and they can tell you if it is incorporated and if it is they can give the address and phone number it is registered at, and possibly some information about the people behind it (corporate officiers, partners, whatever, depending how it is organized).

This is turning into a porn convention thread because I'm home helping out my family biz and this involves the theft of over $100,000 and dueling lawsuits worth even more. I'm really fucking tired. I will try to type up the whole story in a bit. Like I said earlier, this is going to be sort of epic, but it's going to have to stretch over a bit of time. I know BCO's attention span is short - as is mine when I read the board. And threads that aren't finished in a day or so vanish forever. Please have some patience with me. Sorry dudes. I hate it when I let BCO down. I sincerely mean that. I'm going to take a nap and try to rally. I've been in the office since 9am. |

I briefly worked as a researcher for business credit. Did he say what state he has these corporations? If he's being upfront with the info, then you'll probably have a pretty easy time finding out this info (if it exists). I would suggest looking in the Delaware and Nevada corporations listings because they have the most lenient laws so a lot of sketchy people incorporate there. You can usually search the names of the incorporator, but if he did it from out-of-state via an incorporation service then you probably can't find out by normal public records.

Also you can find these registries on the Secretary of State websites for each individual state. If this is about your family biz, then I should totally use my training on this to impress you father since I just rent my resume to him and all. I'll crack the code since I am unemployed and don't have anything better to do.

My family business is an education company. We work through colleges to provide low cost college courses to teachers. They can use these courses for certification, to earn their masters degrees, or to get their administration certificate. In addition, we also offer crisis intervention services and free workshops for schools on identifying the signs of sex abuse etc. We've done well in New York...but that's because NY has the right combination of regulations and such. We wouldn't work in every state. One state we long knew we could expand to though was California. I wanted to be top dog in California. Although I'm busy with other stuff, I thought I could help run the program on the side. It wasn't going to be too big. Some people met with UC San Diego and a few schools outside LA and eventually came to the conclusion that it would be cheaper for us to do it in northern california. The thing is that the whole point is that our courses are very cheap, thus allowing for poor people, recent immigrants, and minorities to take our classes. I think something like 70% of our customers in NY fit this description. It doesn't make sense for us to work through a college that charges us too much. So we found a college a bit north of SF. The assistant director's husband, himself an employee of the company, bumped into woman he knew as a child at a wake. The woman explained what she'd been up to and the guy, thinking she might be a good fit, told her that we needed someone to coordinate things in northern california. My father interviewed her. Her resume was very impressive, and the few things we checked out seemed to check out. We coordinated things with the college and were ready to go. So some time goes by. The woman tries to set up classes but keeps cancelling them due to low enrollment. At one point, she moves a class to her house in order "to save us money" yet bills us for use of her house. We also receive a bill from a school in san mateo that claims to have held a class of ours. Meanwhile she charges us for radio and TV commercials she's bought without asking. We don't even have radio or TV commercials in New York. The thing is that the college involved in classes gets about 40% of the money from classes. So she explains to us that she needs to pay the university involved. The powers that be (not me, I've been kept out of this whole process at this point) still figure she's telling the truth, so give her money to pay the university. Eventually we've spent a fair amount of money and nothing seems to be happening. My brother flies from colorado to supervise a class but when he arrives she's cancelled the course again due to low enrollment. He tries to collect checks from her that she owed us from october but she gets all shady. Next set of classes, I'm supposed to fly in to see what's going on. She "cancels" courses again. Eventually everyone realizes that we've spent close to $100,000 trying to set up this CA thing and received $640 in return (we did get a check from one student). My father says we should put it on hold until we figure out what's going on. We realize the obvious...that she's been holding classes using the apparatus of our company and the college but keeping all the money for herself. She hasn't even paid the college, and they're looking for her too. This enrages me. "LET'S GET REVENGE!!!" My father: "Well...we were dumb. She stole that money fair and square. I have to hand it to her, she was pretty clever" (there were a few little bits that I've left out that proved she was at least good at this sort of thing. Reading it you might think it was all very obvious. It really wasn't) So my father resolves to lose $100,000. It's a lot of money for the company, but he thinks, well, we got taken, we should have been smarter, we deserve it. He lets the woman go and explains that the whole matter is to be forgotten. THEN SHE SUES US FOR WRONGFUL DISMISSAL! So now we are being sued. And the problem is, she had a contract with us and a lot of the stuff she did is hard to prove. She has a stronger case than we do right now. Since this happened, a few people in the office have been assigned to figure out what the deal is with this woman. Where she comes from, who she really is, etc. We've already discovered that she has three aliases!!! Not just different last names....different first names too. Her resume, which is pretty insane in terms of accomplishment, actually checks out in a lot of areas. Except this one, which I wonder if BCO can help me look into... She claims to have been involved in a company called "Silver Cyber Tech" which received 30 million in funding from HP sometime between 1998 - 2002. I've found only one small mention of this company on a SF directory when googling. I found nothing about the HP funding. The thing about this company is that...as remarkable as her resume is...the things she lied about all seem to be the things that qualified her for the job. Silver Cyber Tech supposedly did some education stuff that was eeriely similar to what we do. I realize that by finding lies on a resume it's not going to bring this woman down. But all the background I can get would be awesome. I will post more details as they develop. I'm sort of on the fence about posting her aliases. If someone from BCO contacted her directly or if she could find this thread, it could mean trouble. So for now: Silver Cyber Tech. What do we know? |

Also keep in mind, not only were we ripped off, but so were the teachers who paid for classes expecting to receive graduate credits in return.

I must be honest in confessing that I do not know the all the ins and outs of this case. I'm only now being allowed to hear about it. My father tries to keep me away from getting too involved in the company, as I don't think he wants me to take over one day. All I know is that her case is somehow stronger. I think CA state labor laws might contribute to this. I'll try to find out more about why it is stronger...to me it seems obvious that she was up to no good. |

did you try calling Silvery Cyber Tech? (415) 285-1991 hoovers would probably list something like that and HP should be able to give you some information. if not, go to HP's SEC filings. 30 mil doesn't move without being documented somewhere. |

one funny thing...I'm not sure why no one noticed this before - actually, it's clearly more pathetic that we didn't notice than the fact she did it - on her resume, it says: EDUCATION Phd in blablahblahblah But doesn't say what school or when her resume also claims she spoke before congress, which oddly enough, is true. Can't figure out if she really raised 4 million for unicef in one year though. |

Ok, when she got money for TV & Radio ads, did she actually make those ads & have them aired, or did she just pocket the money? You should be able to find out if any ads were actually aired. Get a lawyer, countersue for fraud / misappropriation of funds, etc. If you can prove an employee was committing fraud, her employment contract could be terminated immediately. Can you have a lawyer get ahold of her bank records, etc.? If she stole all this money, she had to do SOMETHING with it. I mean, geezus, there has to be a way to prove this woman ripped you guys off, she can't just do this and get away with it. I'm infuriated just reading this. She's got a huge set of balls to steal from you guys then sue for wrongful dismissal. Talk about kicking someone when they're down. |

Oh fuck. Perth Amboy just came through. This stuff is only just developing over the past week. We have a lawyer, we're considering countersuing, but it's important we gather as much info as we can on our own. My father...it's sort of hard to explain why he didn't run a background check. The thing is, this company could be 10x bigger if what we really cared about was money. But instead of hiring people that are really appropriate for the job, my father will hire people in need or people who might somehow work out if they overcome some kind of handicap...it sounds sort of retarded, i realize, but here are some examples: -hired a one armed design guy. "I thought I should challenge him! A one-armed design guy? Who knew it would work so well!!!" -the deliquent son of his dentist. "maybe a job could straighten him out!!!!" (it didn't, but it was two years and some therapy paid for by the company before giving up on him) -This employee seems depressed and directionless...instead of firing her, let's promote her and give her responsibility! That will energize her! As you can see...my father operates from his gut. He's said many times that the company would be more successful except that he likes hiring family members, friends of the family, and people who seem like they need a job. So when the asst. director's husband, that he's known for thirty years, says his childhood friend would be right for the job...my father is a bit too trusting. |

Ed, I also searched Edgar and I only saw Silver Cyber Tech mentioned in connection with a Domenic Falcone a director of NEVADA GEOTHERMAL POWER INC (as of 2002 at least). "In 2000 Mr. Falcone was Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer of Silver Cyber Tech, Inc., providing direction and support to creative, engineering and business development departments to assure that their responsibilities were preformed without interruption while establishing financial infrastructure and closing essential financings. " According to one database I checked, it's possible that the company also used the name SILVERTECH INC. but I'm not sure about that because that didn't show up in the CA SOS files. |

AWESOME. World Business Review is totally a sham business reporting program. All the guests pay a fee to appear and talk up their product or pretend e-service and good ol General Haig smiles and nods and talks about how crucial what they're doing is to the business community. The final solution to the dot-com crunch Looks like life in the Internet industry is no longer all massages and Snapple. Last October my colleague Tali Woodward uncovered a number of live-work lofts being used as offices rather than homes. Among the buildings Woodward investigated is 1409-15 Indiana, which is occupied by Silvertech Inc. "Workers there confirmed that no one lives in the building," she wrote. Apparently that sentence prompted something of an internal investigation on Indiana Street. Last week a Silvertech staffer named Lisa called Woodward to find out who had confirmed that 1409-15 Indiana is all work and no live. Workers had already been interrogated and weren't talking, Lisa said. Woodward, of course, refused to tell her, for fear of (a) violating a source's confidentiality and (b) sending some unfortunate dot-commie to an unspecified but terrifying fate. I called Lisa to find out just what the company planned to do to the loose-lipped workers. "I don't know," Lisa told me. "I was just following an order." I started to get a little scared. Lisa patched me through to Silvertech CEO and founder El St. John (whose name, incidentally, is Spanish for "the St. John"). St. John and I spoke for about five minutes – until, with the keen insight that stems from her 30 years experience in telecommunications, she realized that reporters sometimes want to, well, quote you. "But I'm the CEO of the company!" she said. "You can't just call up and expect an interview!" St. John's secretary offered to set up an interview for the second week in February. By that time, though, it may be too late to help any Silvertech staffers who've been caught talking to reporters. Lisa! You may be next! Get out while you still can! Got a tip? fuck nobody's there right now worth talking to about this... I'm going to put O's at the front and back of the names...maybe that will fool google! Let's try to keep the O's going, especially on the second name, although I realize the futility of it. OElinor CalamariO OEleanor LindquistO (have I mentioned the second alias yet? That's the one she used with us and seems to be the name she goes by now. Oddly enough, there's also someone credited in the film"Sideways" as a consultant. Given the region she lives in and where the film was made, I think it might be the same person) Ah my father just called. He wants to know what you do Michelle...do you do this for a living? Is there any way he could get some sort of formal report from you? How much would that cost? Right now we're in the gathering paperwork stage, so how could we get this stuff looking more official? At the very least, perhaps you can print this stuff out, fax it to me, then I'll have them send you an incredibly nice bottle of wine or something, as someone suggested. I told him you're a girl I know from around. If he knew I was posting this here, I think he'd be a bit disturbed. |

Yeah I recently...well, around christmastime, met a really cool girl at a bar. I said, you know what, I think we are going to become great buddies. She said, I think so too! We then became friends. I ended up getting her a job there. I had to lie to my father, because if he knew I'd just met her a few weeks earlier, he never would have hired her. I said she was one of my old friends. So then right after he hires her, he approaches my friend Larry at work and says "Great news! I hired your old friend, Alyson!!!" and Larry, who should have been smart enough to cover for me but is a total dick, was like "What? Who is Alyson? Never heard of her. Ed said I knew her? He's lying." So then my father asked again, where do you know this girl from. I explained that she was associated with a different group of friends. He then asked her in work about Mitch and Jay and that crew. Her response: "What? Who are they? OH YEAH MY OLD FRIENDS" I don't know why I feel the need to construct such inefficient webs of deceipt, but there you go. She's actually a great employee and has become one of my closest chums in just five months or whatever it's been. Apparently Larry told everyone in the office that I met her in a bar and it's become a running joke, the piece of shit. |

It's a funny thing, that is. This message board has some pretty decent people on it. I'm going to check back through my .commie privacy buds to find out about this EI St Jawn lady; At least one of them might know of her, or have met her in person. That, at least, will give you lot something to go on in the identity theft front. That, and I like playing Inspector Poirot. |

Eleanor M. Lindquist is President of: 1) Golden Road Presents, Inc., which is an inactive business according to the Secretary of state. The business mailing address was 465 Magellan Ave in San Francisco CA 94116. 2) Panna Corporation - inactive business with same mailing address as Golden Road Presents. Now, after doing some research on this 465 Magellan property, I found that it was deeded from one Jeffrey and Eleanor Lindquist to another party in 2003, and in the deed I noted the address that Jeff & Eleanor had marked as their residence, a condo in San Francisco. I checked to see who currently lives at this address, and found that Eleanor Lindquist was reported as the most recent resident, (record is from 2004). I ran a report on Lindquist and hit the motherload. Apparently she has 4 MORE aliases, and is using 3 different social security numbers. Her other aliases: Megan Kinter Maya Felix Lisa Stryker Eleanor Carl It lists her relatives and I found 1) Anthony Francis Calamari, who is currently living in Carmel, CA and using a P.O. box 2) Jeffrey Lindquist, who moved to Oregon in January, apparently. So, the gist of it: Our tricky lady is living in a condo in San Francisco (38 Bryant St Apt 402) and her colleague is living in Carmel. now, if you're going to use this information, don't use me as your source! I think that would be bad for your dad's case anyway. |

OK also to answer your dad's questions, I work for county government here in Michigan, and I have access to address info because part of my job entails service of process on defendants. What I would suggest, if you want to use this info legitamately for your case, is to search these records for yourself, based on the info I gave you, instead of using me as a source. Any citizen can do this through a bunch of internet companies for a small fee.

yeah this was the rest of gabe roth's report in sfbg-- pretty fucked. he's going to send me info on whatever else they discovered on mz. st. john: by gabriel roth REMEMBER OUR FRIEND El St. John, the imperious dot-com CEO who was desperately trying to find out which of her employees had talked to Bay Guardian reporter Tali Woodward? We thought St. John wanted to punish the poor wage slave who told Woodward that St. John's company, Silvertech, is occupying a live-work building. But we underestimated St. John's benevolence. It seems she's just trying to protect the anonymous whistle-blower. A Silvertech worker forwarded us this creatively written e-mail, which apparently went out to the company's entire staff Jan. 25: "El met with the head of the Bay Guardian paper last evening and as a result she will be given the names of the peolpe who spoke with the reporter of this Lofties article.... El request that anyone who spoke to her or the any press person reguarding this article or our status here come forth to her first-so she can protect you from our Board and HP-who when hearing of who spoke to the reporter will demand those people be FIRED immediatly. – El wants to protect her staff from this-so if you spoke to press about this please privately come to El and speak with her about this." Of course, this is complete bullshit. St. John hasn't met with anyone at the Bay Guardian. (Once again she refused to talk to me before this column went to press.) Besides, we're not in the habit of getting our sources fired. |

Lindquist's daughter is apparently Katrina Marie Hartwell. Katrina and her vexatious litigant pal, Howard Herships, were arrested today in San Jose on felony charges. Lindquist was there watching it unfold. Eleanor Marie Lindquist is 70. She was born in Jan 1935. SS# starts with 094-28-.... but she also uses 472-50-..... El StJohn is definitely the same person as Lindquist. Slightly different SS# 094-44-.... but same DOB and lives in the same places as Eleanor. Gosh, isn't that a coincidence. For example, they both resided at 403 Main St in San Francisco in 1999. That's simply impossible if they aren't the same person. Also, that picture on the cover of the magazine, matches the person I saw in court today. Eleanor gave her most recent address as 540 Fathom Dr, San Mateo, CA 94404. But that, no surprise, is the address for Jeffrey C Lindquist, age 60, ss# 472-50-xxxx who is either her brother or her husband as they have several addresses in common. Ed and michelle: If you'd like to contact me, call me at 650-279-1008. Apparently, breaking the law runs in the family and it would be very useful to compare notes. |

i found this because I did a google search on Eleanor M. Lindquist. I'm involved because her daughter Katrina Hartwell sent me 16 junk faxes. I'm the last guy on the planet you want to send a junk fax to. Take a look at junkfax.org and you'll see why. I wrote the whole site (more or less). Go to the home page and click on "stock frauds" and you'll see what happened to a group of people who sent me 18 faxes. All the research on that page was mine. It was 3 months of hard work because it was a big ring of international crooks who ripped people off to the tune of nearly $100 million in 4 weeks. In this instance, I sued Katrina for the 16 faxes and won a $42,000 judgment in small claims (16 cases of $2,500 + costs each). Katrina had been told by the FCC to stop junk faxing and chose to continue doing so which is why the judgment was so high. I levied her bank account and collected $10K. But she moved her account and so I decided to try another approach. In the meantime, Katrina hooked up with the infamous vexatious litigant Howard Herships who promised Katrina he knew how to tie me up for years in court. Herships appealed the judgments to every court in California (state and federal) and even the US Supreme court. He filed over a dozen petitions, writs, etc. He lost every single one. Then I had the court appoint a receiver to take over Katrina's business. They (Hartwell and Herships) retaliated by "keying" my car right after the judge granted a modification to the receiver order. The DA filed criminal felony charges against both of them for that and they were arrested today in court after trying to appeal their case. It is so convenient when they just walk in to the court to be arrested since it makes the Sheriff's job that much easier. But this third person, Eleanor Lindquist, shows up in court and tries to argue their case in the last 2 times they've been in court. She purports to be a "small claims advocate." There is no such thing. A few weeks ago, Howard Herships is driving a dark blue BMW with plates: 5 JAB 440. But Herships doesn't have a driver's license. So when Herships gets into the car and tries to pull out of the parking lot, a patrol car blocks him and Herships got arrested for that and they towed the car. But the car belongs to Eleanor which she admitted in court today under oath! So Eleanor is letting a guy without a driver's license drive her car. That's pretty odd. So I wanted to find out more about Eleanor because she's going to be a witness in the felony case because she was there when they keyed my car. So I do a google search and find this thread, and then i check it out myself to verify we are talking about the same innocent looking 70 year old lady and we are. Eleanor lied to the police about her car (she said she was across the street and she wasn't). And now I find out about her checkered past from this thread. So she's not going to be a very credible witness for her daughter. Eleanor Marie Lindquist has other aliases not mentioned above. For example, she has the same SS# as: Jeffrey Lindquist Judith J Moore El StJohn And her AKAs include: Eleanor M Lindquist Eleanor M Davis Eleanor C Calamari Eleanor D Calamari Eleanor M Calamari Eleanor C Lindquist Eleanor Calamare Eleanor Calimari-Davis Eleanore M Calamari-Davis Eleanore Calamari I gotta believe it is really hard for her to keep track of all those AKAs. At any rate, the fact she lied to the police (which is a misdemeanor) and the incident outlined above, really makes her a very uncredible witness to the damage they did to my car. Also, Katrina Marie Hartwell, who I think is her daughter, has now been arrested twice. Before her felony arrest today, she was arrested the last time she was in court on a bench warrant for a failture to appear at the contempt hearing that I filed. On the contempt alone, she could face up to 25 days in jail. For the felony, it could be a lot worse. So Katrina is looking at significant jail time for contempt and also for the felony. And that's not to mention that Hartwell and Herships have been abusing the legal system by filing brief after brief to overturn their judgment (over 600 pages if not more). Judge Kleinberg today commented that in his 35 years of practice he has NEVER seen so many appeals. Herships is a master of that...he kept beating a dead horse for almost 8 years before the courts finally declared him a vexatious litigant. Finally, Eleanor uses two different birthdates 2 years apart: 1935 and 1937. Her real DOB appears to be in 1937, i.e., she is 68 and not 70 years old as she testified in court today. |

but wait, there is more when I looked into the bankruptcy filings... Anderson v. Silvercyber Tech, et al (filed 9/13/2000 in n. calif bankruptcy court) tried to put our friend into bankruptcy. Defendants were: Silvercyber Tech, Inc., El St John aka Ellen Calamari. So isn't that sweet? Aka's confirmed in federal bankruptcy court where lying is a no-no. So that is very admissible evidence of her AKAs, i.e., El St John = Ellen Calamari. Our friend settled the case so it was dismissed on 2/13/01. But then she filed for personal Chapter 7 bankruptcy almost 2 years later on 11/22/02 and was granted a discharge on 3/16/04. Case # 02-33288 TEC 7 but for some reason I can't pull it up on Pacer. It was closed on 08/19/2004. Anyway, in this case, I got a copy of the final order allowing discharge. Again, we have admissible evidence of the AKAs but this time it's a different set of aka's: Eleanor Marie Lindquist aka El St. John dba Off Silver Cyber Tech, Inc. dba Off Golden Road Presents, Inc. 38 Bryant St #402 San Francisco, CA 94105 So we have admissible evidence that Eleanor Marie Lindquist, El St. John, and Ellen Calamari are all one and the same person and that this "person" is associated with the two entities. So that list of names I posted above is consistent with the federal court data. Sweet. I can say this...Eleanor comes across in the courtroom as a sweet "little old lady." She had me fooled. Not anymore. I believe she lied under oath about her age and about her occupation. If she'd lie about that, I believe she's certainly going to lie about what happened to my car. Also, I think they are also trying to sue the towing company (see incident above) claiming their car was damaged. I guess that they never leave an opportunity to rip someone off unturned. Pretty sad. |

If you want to meet the famous Eleanor in person, she might show up at Hartwell's contempt hearing which is 9am in D-84 at the Palo Alto, CA courthouse at 270 Grant Av. If you can't make that, then there's the December 19 hearing where Herships and Hartwell are being sued (by me) for $5,000 for the damage to my car. This is a civil case in D-86 at 8:30am. I'll find out their criminal arraignment date shortly on their felony arrests. Perhaps Hartwell will write a book about her experiences. She could entitle it "how I parlayed a $5,000 judgment into a $42,000 judgment, felony charges, and lost my business to boot." |

ACK. I forgot to put this up before. Here's what Gabe wrote regarding interviewing El: sorry your friend is having trouble with El St. John. I did some research on her for a proposed long story that never happened, due mostly to my not knowing how to do a deep Wall Street Journal-type business investigation, and there being no one at the Guardian to show me. off the top of my head, here's what i remember [caveat -- any of this could be wrong; it was several years ago]: she's started a bunch of companies that have folded. many have left behind employees claiming she owed them money. some of these employees have filed suit, and many such suits can be read in the basement of the SF courthouse on the corner of Polk and McAllister, opposite City Hall. the one i was looking at was Silver Cyber Tech, which was more commonly known as Silvertech (i think there was another Silvertech registered somewhere, is why the company was formally known as Silver Cyber Tech.) they made what was going to be an online 'gated community' for kids -- so that kids would go 'online' but then instead of looking at anything and everything on the web, they'd just play the games and puzzles that Silvertech had designed and built for them. i played on it for a while, and my personal opinion is that very little time and money had been spent on creating a product that would keep kids interested for more than 10 minutes. i showed it to a friend who reviews videogames and he said 'you could play a better game on your mom's celphone.' the HP funding: i remember it being described as closer to $20m, but i could be wrong on that. i don't think it's accurate to call it 'angel funding': angels are investors who come in early in the process and give founders money to start the company. as far as i was able to discern from people in HP's investment department, HP 'gave' her not money but equipment: in this case, servers on which the kids' network was going to be run. i don't remember the terms, but it was relatively complicated, and was part of a program to position HP as the supplier to young and hopefully growing companies. the salient points, as i understand and remember them, are these: HP never stood to lose anything like $20m; Silvertech never had that much cash from HP to play with; ESJ used to throw that number around ($20m in funding from HP) when pitching other investors, advertisers etc. El St. John (also known as Eleanor something, sorry i forget what) was described by employees as presenting whichever version of reality was more convenient at any time. i got copies of documents shown to potential funders in which she claimed that Kellogs was putting their CDs in millions of cereal boxes, and other similar claims. people i spoke to at Kellogs knew nothing about this. (also they sent me a free box of Honey Crunch Raisin Bran.) i was told that, when she heard i was researching her and her company, she threatened to sue me and the Guardian. (in the SF courthouse you can find a lot of suits she's filed.) she refused to talk to me, and when i faxed her a list of questions she didn't respond. when the company folded, i spoke to a lot of employees who hadn't been getting their paychecks. they filed a complaint with the state labor board; i'm not sure how it worked out. that's probably only marginally useful to you, if that, but it was fun to try to remember it. sorry again for the timelapse. let me know what the situation is with your friend. |

Because this thread has useful information regarding Elenaor, you shouldn't try to hide it from the search engines. It is far more useful to have the truth be known (where it can save the next person from being a victim) than to cower in obscurity under threat of a lawsuit. Also, if they are going to sue anyone, I'm the easiest target. But if they do that, they'll know I'll fight back. I've never lost a SLAPP suit. So if they are smart, they will not do that. So then they could try to sue someone else, but what's the point of that? Unless it is the person who controls the site, they gain nothing by doing it since their legal fees in bringing such a suit will exceed any $ amount they might recover if they won. So it's an expensive intimidation technique. I'm not an attorney, but in general, you can be sued if you say stuff that is untruthful that damages someone's reputation. If you stick to the truth and don't violate people's privacy, you should be fine and then if they try to sue you, you can SLAPP them back with a special motion to strike and recover your attorney fees. When a founder of fax.com (Eric Wilson) sued me in a SLAPP suit, I slapped him back and won and forced him into declaring bankruptcy in order to escape paying me. I can tell you he isn't too happy about that since he subsequently lied in his bankruptcy and he now may face criminal charges. |

skirsch, we collectively voted a few months back to restrict search engine's access to the site via the robots.txt file ... it had nothing to do with being afraid of lawsuits, and everything to do with simple social elitism, and an attempt to keep some of the stupid stuff we say hidden from plain view =) anyway, this thread is by far the best argument for a reversal of that decision. |

Hartwell posted bail and was released. Her court date is 11/30/05 at 9am in the Palo Alto courthouse, most likely in D-88. There is an excellent chance that Eleanor will be there to assist her. So if you are interested in meeting the subject of this thread, that's probably your best opportunity. So here's Hartwell's court calendar in Palo Alto: Nov 30 9am: arraignment on felony charges Dec 7 9am: arraignment on 4 counts of contempt of court Dec 19 8:30am: civil trial on damage to my car ($500 actual + $4,500 punative) |

Winning a suit is relatively easy compared to collecting. The Hartwell case is an excellent case in point. She is perhaps a case study in the most outrageous behavior by a debtor ever in post judgment proceedings. Judge Kleinberg said in his entire career he had never seen a case with so many appeals. I've posted a more complete chronology of the first chartered case [www.junkfax.org] so you can see that most of the effort is post-judgment. This is NOT complete, but just some of the highlights. Also, it is going to get a lot worse for Katrina within the next few days as the receiver starts to engage. She had the opportunity to settle this by cooperating but refused to do that. So now we are only left with options that are going to be very unpleasant for her, in addition to the felony charge she is already facing. That was her choice. All of these were her choices. |

It's a lot of money for the company, but he thinks, well, we got taken, we should have been smarter, we deserve it. He lets the woman go and explains that the whole matter is to be forgotten. One thing that is always interesting are the bankruptcy schedules. Is anyone on this list in San Francisco? The court is at 235 Pine Street. Case # 02-33288 What I want is Doc #8: Schedules A-J and Statement of Affairs Also Doc #24: Complaint (03-3273) Edgardo L. Estrella Can anyone get this? Otherwise, we can try the law firms in this case: Michael J. McQuaid, Carr, McClellan, Ingersoll et al, 216 Park Rd., P.O. Box 513, Burlingame, CA 94011-0513 or Margaret E. Garms, Thelen, Reid and Priest, 101 2nd St. #1800, San Francisco, CA 94105-3606 or Nancy J. Geenen, Law Offices of Foley and Lardner, 1 Maritime Plaza 6th Fl., San Francisco, CA 94111-3409 These schedules might be pretty interesting. |

well I'm pretty sure that Eleanor and Jeffrey Lindquist are still residing at their million dollar condo 38 Bryant St #402, San Francisco, CA 94105. If that is true, probably she lied to the cops about living in san mateo (unless she has two residences which i doubt because I couldn't find much at the san mateo address). What's surprising is that she filed for chapter 7 bankruptcy and it was a no asset case and yet she's STILL living in this very same million dollar condo she was living in when she filed. That seems pretty odd to me. Can someone do a drive by and confirm whether she is still living there? |

Wilson' is sharing 10 or so SSN numbers with someone named 'Rick St John,' who goes by 20 different other aliases. both of these parties have listed their mailing address as 1592 UNION ST in San Francisco, which is the former address of dissolved entity First Chartered Investments, Inc. Rick Saint John and a woman who goes by Christine Mathews have business ties to Foundation Real Estate, Inc., which is the (active?) business now located at 1592 Union St. Also, someone named Roger A. Sullivan was affiliated with both Foundation Real Estate and First Chartered Investments, Inc. It's pretty complicated, and my eyes are tired! Here are my graphs which show the connections: Hazy business affiliation between Silvertech and First Chartered Investments : ![]() Graph showing connections between Frederick Wilson & 'R Saint John'/Rick Saint John, (and their 5,000 aliases:)

I have update my website with the latest on Eleanor. She's definitely a real piece of work. The people I spoke with thought she was off the charts. I found what they told me to be quite amazing that someone could be so brazen a liar, even under oath. If you are following this, then you'll really want to read the web page. The stuff about Eleanor is in a section near the bottom. Here's the web page for Eleanor Lindquist [www.junkfax.org]. Also, I have my doubts that Katrina Hartwell and Lindquist are related. It's possible but I think it's unlikely because Katrina doesn't have that many surnames and none of them match Eleanor's. As far as Ed and his dad's $100K goes, I think this is an expensive lesson to learn. There were people with far greater claims against Eleanor, and they gave up. Also, your claim against Eleanor got wiped out when the judge granted the discharge. Therefore, the only way to get your money back is 1) re-open the case 2) prove she hid assets from the BK court. That's going to be expensive to do even if you succeed. And even if you succeed, you're going to have to stand in line to recover any funds you find as there are a lot of people who want a piece of that. You're likely to get pennies on the dollar making this uneconomical. If, however, money is no object, then there are pretty severe criminal penalties against people who hide assets in BK. But only the DOJ can bring those charges. So even if you discover her hidden assets (spending time and money to do so), it's still not guaranteed that the feds will go after her for BK fraud. So there you go Ed. It's a sad story, but that's the way the legal system works. For this round at least, Eleanor has won. That is too bad. I hate it when the bad guys win. As far as my case against Hartwell and Herships (where Eleanor was a witness to the crime), with the help I've gotten here, I've got enough information to convince a jury that Eleanor Lindquist is a completely unreliable witness. After the deposition she gave, no jury will believe anything she says under oath. Therefore, in the felony case against Hartwell and Herships, there are going to be ZERO credible witnesses backing up their story. That will make their conviction that much easier. I will keep you posted on how things turn out. |
